Thanksgiving Day

We had more people than we had room so we went to the Church and had our meal there. Wayne, Cindy and family were there along with Chad and Donna and family. Chad's parents were there and we also invited a couple in our Branch and their family. If you have ever heard us talk of RC and Lorna, well here they are.
We ate, we played games and ball. But most of all we visited and enjoyed each others company. It was great!!!

Well, we had a wonderful day and hope that you did also. Family and Friends are what it is all about. For them we are so Thankful. Love you all!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We were to have everyone at our home this year but with everyone moving this way and that, it just didn't happen. We missed you all that wasn't able to be here.

Here is a little pre thanksgiving doings:

Fall Fun!

O.K. I am back..... I can't believe that I am doing this. I even make sure I get pictures so that I can put them in here. Fun, Fun!!

Chris, Jamie and Family are moving this weekend so Mike went back to St. George so that he could help them move to Spanish Fork. We are also going to rent the house they are living in now so he is getting that taken care of. I just want you to know that I did it!!! I drove back from the Houston airport all by my self. It was sooooo scary. You think Salt lake City has traffic....well, Houston is crazy. Once Mike and I went through there and he was driving and I decided then and there that I would never drive there. Well, I lied because I did it. I missed a couple of turn offs but I made it home in one piece.

The other day Cindy called me and asked if I would like to go to the Library with her and the kids and then go to the park and have a picnic. I went and we had a great time. The library was closed so we just did the park thing.

Our New Lives!

This is all new to me but Chris and Jamie called and really wanted me to blog so that we could all keep in touch. I remember before Tammy left St. George she also wanted to help me get set up. I was just lazy and didn't do it. Now that Mike and I have moved and I am so far from everyone, I can see the wisdom in this sight. I miss everyone and love looking at their blogs more and more. Some of you need to update. Hint, Hint!!!

Mike and I have moved from St. George, Utah. Wow! we never thought that would happen. We have moved to Brenham, Texas. Who would have thought! We are now however, closer to Cindy and Donna and their families, and we are enjoying them and their sweet families.

We had lots of help!

Mike and I hadn't even been in the Branch a week and we got callings. Mike is 2nd counslor in the YM's and Scoutmaster and I am YW's President. Nothing like jumping in with both feet! And we have all ready been asked to work at the Temple.

We no sooner got here when Mikes Father passed away and so Mike went to Oregon for 3 weeks. I went a little later. Mike's Mother is such an example to me. She understands the plan of salvation and the gospel and is very strong at this time. We pray for her in what is ahead and we know she will do well. We love her.

We are home now and slowly unpacking. We just keep doing fun things and packing can always be put off. Like we went to the zoo:

We all enjoyed a giant turkey leg. (Karen)

All in all, we love it here in Texas. We never thought we would ever be here but we are glad we are. We miss everyone and hope that you are all doing well.
