Isn't life amazing!

I look at others and have realized that even though they might have money, it doesn't mean that they have a happy amazing life. Some that I have seen, has money but is so busy they can't take time out to enjoy it or their family. So if they can't enjoy the finer things in life then why work so hard? I don't have lots of money but I do have riches. I have an amazing family that I just can't do without. They are my joy and my life. I have a wonderful husband, amazing sons and daughters and their spouses, and oh the grandchildren I just can't stand being away from.

I love them all.

Let me tell you about my amazing life.

Emma's school had a musical play and of course Emma was in it.

It was a Broadway play called Seussical and she was a Who from Whoville.

Note that Jen made Emma's dress all by herself. What a girl!!!

After the play we all went to tell her how great she was. Donna and Kameha were the first in line.

Grandma got to have her turn.

Jen and Charles took their turn. Where are the others? Well, I guess not by the camera
.

I am telling you that this was an amazing play. Every thing was done well. I couldn't believe that kids this young could do such a job.

A few days later Keana wanted to spend the night with Grandpa and Grandma. We played games, ate yummy stuff, watched a good movie, read stories and went to bed. How much fun can 3 people have?

I just wanted you to see how cute the curl is in the back of Grants head. Now he has lots of them. But this is his first.

Mike has been working sooooooooo hard on our land. It never seems to end. We are kind of tired of the Chickens destroying our yard and pooping all over. So we are going to fence them in. Here he is working on that project. It will still be nice and big for them. Now look out on the back grass. Do you see them? Can you see all the beautiful wild flowers? The bluebonnets, the Indian paint brush? What, you can't? Well that is because there isn't any. We have had no rain for so long that we didn't get the amazing wildflowers this year. So sad. We have gotten some green but that is leaving us now too.

Notice Dusty... My has she grown. I really wanted you to look at the long fence line there. Mike and some friends worked on that. What a lot of work just for a fence. Some day it will be quite valuable when we get out cow back there. ye haw! Oh you can kind of see the finished shed there in the background. It's blue. Yes, blue, the paint was free. I like it.

We had some guests over Conference weekend. I guess it was really the Monday and Tuesday after. Darla and Tracy came to visit. On Monday night, we had a big family dinner so everyone could come and see them. Cindy and Wayne smoked a bunch of meat, we had sausage, chicken, beef, brisket, sweet potato's.......They had a real Texas dinner.

Mike was late so he had to eat later. But it was just as good.

Grant, Jen, James, Cindy, Darla and Tracy

Anyone want more?

They are ready to leave us. We had such a great time. Thanks for coming. Darla had her mission papers turned in. Hey Darla, What's up? Have we heard back yet???

What cute girls.

We trimmed our bushes so the animals have found a new place to cool down.

We have had some real strong winds this month. We were supposed to go to the Temple and Mike got a call from work. The wind ripped the roof off, can you come in. Jen and I went by ourselves. Mike fixed this.

We had a work Saturday at out house a couple of weeks ago. Jen was white when they came. She worked on cutting the lawn for 6 hours. She got very burnt. She didn't have long pants or sox and shoes on at the time. OR the hat. Now she is protecting herself.

Donna and I worked together on cleaning up other areas. Cindy stopped by, she was helping a lady in the branch that day.

Mike and James are getting that much closer to getting the chicken fence done. I would of never guessed it would take so long. Poor guys.

Lydia is 6 now. Happy birthday sweet girl.

We the watched Mega Mind that Cindy brought. It was cute.
Another day we got together and watched Tangled. Cute, Cute!

I am done!!! This is what we made for the Young Women in our branch for their birthdays.

Last night I went with the Llewellyn family to Round Top, Texas to see Emma's dance recital. We had an hour to wait so we played a little pool to pass the time. Charles beat James his first game. Way to go Charles. James hit the black ball in. Oops!

This is the Festival Hills Theater. Is this beautiful or what?

It was ok on the outside but when we got inside I couldn't believe it. Wow!

Sweet Emma

The lady in white is the teacher. She use to teach at Ballet Austin and retired last year. She can't stand not doing so she started classes here.

Today Cindy, Lydia and Dallas came over to get some chicken eggs. They wanted to do some service for me so they washed my dog. How sweet is that!

So now you have it! Can you tell that my life is amazing??? I wish I could have all my family around me as I use to dream when I was younger. But that just isn't going to happen. It is nice that through my life I have been able to live by all my kids and grandkids at one time or another. And who knows what the future holds.
